Crusaders vs. Fightin' Irish

so i ran into this guy over the weekend and had a chance to chop it up wit him for a lil bit.. if you dont recognize him, it's Jason Hill of the 49ers.. pretty chill ass dood.. i was helpin him out as he was doin his lil autograph session.. i brought up the high school days when he played for Sacred Heart.. if you didn't know, he's class of '03.. i didnt even know.. anyways, he was sayin how high school was some dope ass days.. when i told him i went to riordan, he was playin around sayin "aww what?! get outta here.. i dont like riordan cats".. anytime some fan told him what bay area high school he/she went to, he was like "ohhh whaaat.. this guy went to riordan.. we dont like him".. then he told me how he talks to E. Wright every couple weeks and how he remembers them days when we had marquise and tofi and how they had "OOOoOo-deee-OOOoOo OoOOo-deee-yaaayyy" haha.. i found out J. Hill lives out in Sac in the offseason.. homie cant even get courtside seats at a kings game hahah.. told me how he got seated up in the nosebleeds.. anyways, i thought it was pretty coo to see a local athlete make it big time.. even tho sayin "im a receiver for the 49ers" isnt really sayin much nowadays.. hopefully they turn it around next season

With the first Spring Training game tomorrow, I am actually excited for the Giants this season.

Giants Starting Pitching: Lincecum, Johnson, Cain, Barry Zito and Jonathan Sanchez, unless Noah Lowry makes a quick comeback. <<< This is a very good looking squad on paper. All of our starters are proven Aces!!! With better batting this season, I believe that the Giants can win the NL West this year! BEAT LA!!


There will be no big moves for the Giants this Spring Training but come the trading deadline in July I believe that the Giants will make some good moves to acquire some decent batter as other teams will try to dump players for their salary.

Best Big Venue Concert I've Ever Been to/Best Stage:
Glow in the Dark Tour: Kanye West, Rihanna, N.E.R.D. & Lupe Fiasco @ HP Pavillion in San Jose, April/June 2008: so nice I had to see it twice, and I'd probably go again if there was a third

Best Small Venue Concert I've Ever Been to/Best Surprise Guests:
Mos Def @ House of Blues in Hollywood, October 2004: surprise guests included Talib Kweli, Common, and Kanye w/ Will I Am playing the drums, and all of them performed on stage together during the whole show

Best Venue:
LA Sports Arena, November 2003: I forgot the name of the event but there was a rave inside the Arena and a hip-hop festival outside that featured DJ Q-Bert, Blackalicious, Talib Kweli (w/ Kanye when he was still only a producer), Big Boi of OutKast, and Nas.

Biggest Asshole Award: The 3 "E-Team" Bitches that wouldn't get off our friends' seats at the Lil Wayne concert @ Oakland Coliseum

Worst Concert Venue: Lupe Fiasco @ USF Memorial Gym... nothing against Lupe, he was good... just not a great experience... c'mon the lights were on and it felt like a high school dance.

It's been a while fellas and well...I know that if I'm feeling this way, you guys feel the same. I've been having this itch (kinda like the one you get on your back that you can't scratch with your hands so you end up using a hangar to get to it but end up making yourself bleed from the hangar? wait....nvm.) But I've been having this itch to gamble. Soooooo...I was thinking, lets get a poker night on this weekend. Not a friendly game but a REAL game, no cents for blinds, dollars for blinds status. I can see it now Gordon and JR in a hand where Gordon flops a full house and somehow JR bluffs his way to making a straight flush and where the pot is $100 dollars big.

Anyone else down??? If not I'm just gonna watch the Notebook at home while I eat ice-cream and mashed potatoes in my bed.

Bosh to Warriors??

I like the idea of getting Bosh but this seems like way too much. But it could be worth it if they can lock him up to a long term deal agreement before the trade. What do you guys think?

1. Raptors send Chris Bosh to the Warriors for Andris Biedrins, Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf, Marco Belinelli and a future No. 1 pick

Why should the Raptors do it?
Because the writing is on the wall in Toronto. I'm not sure how the Raptors are going to keep Bosh in 2010, and, no, I don't think adding Shawn Marion really helps in the long term. This deal would give them a ton of young talent to rebuild. And the fact that much of it has an international flavor only makes it sweeter for Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo.

Why should the Warriors do it?
You don't get the chance to add an All-Star big man every day. And with Monta Ellis and Corey Maggette, the Warriors would have the building blocks to be special again.

Will it happen?
The biggest question is whether the Warriors, the most dysfunctional franchise in the NBA, could keep Bosh. They would have enough talent to convince Bosh to stay, but their situation is so messed up that it's a big risk.

The second biggest question is whether the Raptors would do it. Colangelo has been pretty adamant that they won't deal Bosh at the deadline. But if they were able to get this much talent in return, he'd have to take a long look.

File under "It was only a matter of time": The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Nevada gaming authorities are warning casinos to be on the lookout for blackjack card counters getting an assist from their iPhones. While card counting itself is not banned in Nevada, the use of an assistive technology is a felony (!), and apps like Card Counter or A Blackjack Card Counter make it much easier for the math-impaired. ABCC's 'stealth mode,' which uses vibration to alert the user when the time is right for a big bet, is particularly head-achey for casino security.

Nevada casinos don't have any instances yet of gamblers being kicked out or arrested for iPhone use -- the initial warning was from California authorities, who spotted card-counter apps in use at a Northern California casino and thought it prudent to raise the alarm. The lure of easier blackjack winnings may be too tempting for some people to pass up, but the consequence of this iCheating may be that we all have to check our iPhones before heading to the blackjack tables.

Aside from the logistical challenges of an iPhone ban in casinos ("Sure, I don't need my phone, my family knows that I'll be here at the quarter slots for the next five hours"), this is a fascinating example of how the App Store is turning us all into denizens of the Matrix, with skills and information on demand and jacked in, literally at our fingertips. Need to level a bookshelf? Fine. Want to identify local birds? Done. Get your garage mojo in gear? Can do. Learn a language? Of course. Adding the ability to move money from the casino's pocket into yours with better odds than usual seems like a natural next step... and another 'disruptive technology' is going to come into conflict with a long-established, politically and economically powerful industry. Let's watch.
