Business As Usual, Vol. 3: Lunch at the Carnelian Room

Well, today's market drop was worse than yesterday's. But after the market hit another 5 year bottom this morning, I got to have lunch all the way at the top of San Francisco. This is the view from the Carnelian Room on the 52nd floor of the Bank of the America building, where I just attended a lunch presentation. And they served the best chicken I have ever had, seriously.

Anyways, I just wanted to mention one thing from the presentation. One of the speakers was this guy, Stan Collender, who has worked most of his life in Washington D.C. and has worked on the federal budget. Well, he said he follows all the polls and they now show Obama up by more than 6% and up to 9%. He is now beating McCain in some states that George Bush had previously won, and this whole election has gone from a toss up right into the hands of Obama in just a matter of a couple weeks because everyone is now blaming the Republicans for the financial collapse. With McCain recently pulling out of Michigan, he said this week will be McCain's last stand.

So although our economy is all f'ed up, atleast we'll have Obama as our President. I guess that's a consolation.
